The German Embassy Colombo together with DAAD Sri Lanka hosted a DAAD Alumni Networking Event on March 19, 2019 at the German embassy premises, which was spearheaded by Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy Mr Andreas Berg and the Head of the Culture Section Ms Claudia Tietze. The event was organised with the aim to strengthen and reconnect the alumni of the German Academic Exchange Service and to create the basis for a bi-lateral alumni network.

The DHoch3 Project – A Training SeminarModule 7 Concepts of Multilingualism and Didactics of Tertiary Language Acquisition(Konzepte von Mehrsprachigkeit und Tertiärsprachendidaktik)German language experts from various universities in India and Sri Lanka came together on March 1st and 2nd to participate in the first ever DHoch3 Workshop that took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in March 2019.
The Webinar Series "Study in Germany" is spread over two days (26 and 27 February, 17:00 – 20:00 IST) and consists of 10 online presentations by German universities and educational institutions. You are welcome to attend the sessions that interest you.

DAAD Regional Office New Delhi received a group of students from the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Wolfenbüttel) on 10 December 2018. Together with Prof. Dr. Ludger Kolhoff, the bachelor students of the course Social Management are on a 7-day excursion through India. Their visit also includes stopovers at the German Embassy in New Delhi and other social institutions together with some cultural highlights.
The DAAD New Delhi organised a two-day DIES seminar on the topic “Internationalisation: Strategies, Implementation and Structures. Chances and Challenges for Indian Universities” on 29th – 30th November 2018.
