About Us

The DAAD Regional Office in New Delhi, supported by the DAAD Information Point in Colombo, promotes academic exchange between Germany and Sri Lanka. It provides information about education in Germany, grants scholarships to students, invites scientists from Sri Lanka to Germany as well as those from Germany to Sri Lanka, and supports bilateral research projects.

DAAD Information Centre Colombo

The DAAD Information Centre in Colombo provides information on study and research in Germany, advises students and academicians on funding opportunities, and assists in building ties between German and Sri Lankan institutions of higher education.

The DAAD has a strong network of Lektors, Language Assistants, Young Ambassadors, Research Ambassadors and alumni in the region encompassing India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
