In addition to the Information Centres, the DAAD has a strong network  of Lektors, Language Assistants, Young Ambassadors, Research Ambassadors and alumni in the region encompassing India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

DAAD has an extensive network of Research Ambassadors spread over India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. They have been involved in advanced research projects in Germany and are interested in promoting research in Germany among peers and students.
