ECR: Transforming Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for a Sustainable Future

Target Audience: Bachelor’s, Master’s Students, Research Scholars, and Faculty Members

This workshop will bring together the academicians, researchers, scientists and administrators to examine how the meaningful contributions of HEIs can impact the achievement of United Nations Sustainability Goals (SDGs) in transforming the society. The participants of this one-day event will get engaged in a mix of short presentations (by German expert, regional officers of DAAD, RAs and other experts in the area of sustainability) and group interactions to identify the institutions barriers and come out with practical strategies for effective way of integrating sustainability into institutional strategies, accreditations systems for strengthening HEIS in advancing sustainability towards a resilient future across globe.

Thus, this event promotes international academic and research exchange through inter-multidisciplinary collaboration and capacity building in line with the DAAD’s core objectives. This also encourages South-South partnerships for collaborations. In addition to that, the event will strengthen the institutional partnership and intercultural understanding for internalization which is the central mission of DAAD.
