Call for Papers: Early Career Research Symposium (HSS) 2024 - Cross-Border Mobility

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), regional Office in New Delhi in cooperation with the Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies and ICAS:MP Metamorphosis of the Political is pleased to announce the “Call for Papers” for the Early Career Research Symposium (ECRS) 2024, offering a platform for early career researchers to showcase their work in the subject of ‘Cross-Border Mobility.’

The Early Career Research Symposium aims to recognise and facilitate synergies amongst researchers and exchange of ideas in the wider fields of humanities and social sciences. It will offer a wide spectrum of inter- and multidisciplinary topics on cross-border mobility by engaging early career scholars, junior researchers, research fellows and academics. If you belong to this target group then this symposium is an ideal platform to help you propel your research and amplify its reach. Present your papers and receive feedback from the scientific community. The symposium guarantees diverse and insightful perspectives. During the symposium the selected early career researchers can present their research work to an international audience and discuss with experts.

The symposium addresses five distinct topics:

  • Refugees and Irregular Migration
  • Law and Migration
  • Narratives of Migration
  • Migration and Education
  • Labour Migration (incl. Health)

Eligibility: Early career researchers from South Asia, Germany, and Europe who work on topics related to India, South Asia, Germany and Europe. Doctoral students and postdocs, who completed their doctoral defence no more than two years ago, are eligible to apply.
