My Experience as DAAD Young Ambassador

Divita Kulshrestha, who is pursuing her PhD in Biology at the Technische Universität Dresden and has been a DAAD Young Ambassador from August 2022 shares her experience.

DAAD Young Ambassadors help inspire their fellows to study or research in Germany by answering questions, and by organizing events on and off campus.

Working alongside with fellow young ambassador and very supportive DAAD team not only helped to resolve doubts but also, I enriched my own knowledge about education in German. Being a Young Ambassador not only about volunteering but also provided me with a platform to represent the program at various occasions such as the German Indian Round Table (GIRT) in Dresden where I interacted with Indian delegation to discuss the possible educational collaboration.

I was also invited by the Embassy of India, Berlin to attend an interactive session with Honourable Chief Justice of India Dr Chandrachud to discuss the situation about young researchers. This program has not only given me privilege to serve the community but also promote my personal growth.
