Open for students who have a German university admission for 2023 Sep/Oct intake

Event Information

July 19, 2023, 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Online

Organiser: DAAD Regional Office New Delhi

Leaving for Germany for your studies is not something you do every day! The visa needs to be applied for, accommodation needs to be looked for, bags need to be packed, and a lot more. To help you manage all this the DAAD is offering a pre-departure briefing. This session becomes even more useful with various associations of Indian students joining it. You can ask them any questions that you may have and get tips that will help you. They will share the information about the city you are headed to, their social and mentorship activities, and a lot more.

The programme will be as follows:

Session in Plenum

  • 15:00 – 15:05   Tech-check and Welcome by DAAD
  • 15:05 – 15:25    Pre-Departure Information by DAAD for students from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka

Break-out Rooms

  • 15:25 – 15:30    Participants move into the desired break-out room where they can interact with representatives of the associations. Students from other countries are welcome to join as the information shared and questions answered will be relevant for them too.
  • 15:30 – 16:00    Interaction with student association representatives

Students Associations joining this session are

  1. Aachen: Association of Indian Students Aachen (AISA)
  2. Bonn/Cologne: Indian Students Association Bonn-Cologne (ISABAC)
