DAAD Sri Lanka Participates in German Teachers Conference 2024

DAAD Sri Lanka took part in a podium discussion at the Deutschlehrer*innentagung 2024 organised by the SriDaF, highlighting “Skills for Global Success”.

The Deutschlehrer*innen Tagung 2024, organised by the German Teachers Association of Sri Lanka (SriDaF) and funded by the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka, took place from 20th to 22nd August 2024 in Katunayake, Sri Lanka.

Over 150 German teachers from across Sri Lanka attended the conference, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, gaining insights into higher education, vocational training in Germany job migration, German language and culture.

A podium discussion was held under the theme “Skills for Global Success”. It featured institutions such as the DAAD, Goethe-Institut and the University of Kelaniya addressing key topics like education reforms in Sri Lanka and opportunities for higher education in Germany. The conference provided a valuable platform for professional development, knowledge exchange and networking among educators.
