The DAAD Regional Office New Delhi conducted online interviews this year again for full PhD and PhD Sandwich scholarships in Germany. These selection committee meetings were organised for applicants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
The interview panel consisted of professors from Germany and India belonging to different subject fields. Dr Katja Lasch, DAAD Regional Director together with many DAAD colleagues prepared and organized the process that spanned over two weeks. The candidates who presented their research were shortlisted by the interview panel before hand on the basis of their research proposals. Technical tests with all candidates ensured a smooth running of the selection meetings. The DAAD is looking forward to welcoming the selected scholarship holders in Germany this autumn. With the new batch of excellent PhD scholarship holders who will be hosted by German research institutions between 12 and 36 months the DAAD enhances the research cooperation between India and Germany.
