The online meet, providing a discussion forum to the Principal Investigators (research heads) of different cooperation projects funded by DAAD, took place on 29 and 30 October 2020. The event saw participation from 100+ researchers from Germany, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka who came together in order to exchange their learnings and experiences.

The event included presentations by selected DAAD funded project representatives, who shared their best practices for successful international collaborations, which was followed by sessions on funding programmes by DAAD and Indian Government available to the attendees at their disposal.

The one-of-a-kind online matchmaking session, conducted through the tool Pitch and Match on the second day, allowed participants to book one-on-one meetings with one another. Through 125 scheduled meetings, the meet facilitated peer-to-peer learning and dialogue on continued collaboration. The attendees also got the opportunity to interact and seek information from the representatives of different DAAD funding programmes.
The event proved to be an avenue to begin conversations and forge new ties for academic exchange and received positive feedback.
